LONDON: Indian-born steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal threw a party costing thousands of pounds for all those who helped him secure the USD 43.6 billion Arcelor deal.
The party was dubbed "Mittal's 111 -- The Completion" and featured giant posters of the steel magnate and his business partners in the billboard pose made famous by George Clooney in the Hollywood movie Ocean's eleven.
For his stage, Mittal hired Brockett Hall, the former home of jail-bird-turned-TV-star, Lord Brockett, in Hertfordshire where guests such as Yoel Zaoui of Goldman Sachs, Sudhir Maheshwari, Pierre-Yves Chabert and Gilberto Pozzi were treated to champaigne and dinner, The Sunday Times reported.
The highlight was a fireworks display by Fantastic Fireworks, specially choreographed to Mittal's favourite music -- James Bond themes.
