IOL Broadband ties up with Star TV

MUMBAI: IOL Broadband Ltd on Thursday said that it has signed an agreement with Star TV for broadcasting channels from the Star channel bouquet.

The company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that it had signed the IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) deal with the country's leading broadcasting network Star TV on Wednesday.

Under the tie-up the subscribers of the company and those subscribing to the MTNL IPTV Service would be able to enjoy several premium broadcasting channels from the Star channel bouquet.
    
The company said it also planned to offer hundreds of channels on IPTV in the near future.

"We are very pleased that Star TV has taken the lead in the IPTV revolution, which is set to sweep the country, by signing up with IOL Broadband Ltd. Star TV will be the first bouquet of channels to be made available on the IOL - MTNL Broadband Networks," IOL Broadband Director Oberai said.
