Satyam wins US award for employee development

HYDERABAD: Leading global consulting and information technology services company Satyam has been ranked 15th in the fourth annual BEST Awards programme of the American Society for Training and Development.

Satyam was among 39 organisations from India, South Africa and the United States to receive the ASTD BEST Award, which recognises organisational commitment to employee learning, Satyam said in a release on Wednesday.

"Satyam's focus on learning is to enhance and develop global Associates' capabilities, while expanding the organisation's strategic leadership strengths," Ramalinga Raju, Satyam's founder and chairman said in the release.

"This recognition from ASTD reinforces the fact that our learning programmes have moved beyond the theory stage and are bearing fruit. Through state-of-the-art learning interventions and world-class training courses we will continue to boost our organisation's intellectual capital and deliver value to our stakeholders," it added.
