NEW DELHI: With an aim to take the trial in the multi-crore fake stamp paper scam cases to their "logical conclusion", CBI on Tuesday approached a Delhi court seeking permission to quiz six close aides of kingpin Abdul Karim Telgi, who are lodged in three different jails.

The probe agency, in an application filed before Additional Sessions Judge Veena Birbal of Karkardooma courts, sought a common direction to Chandigarh, Banglore and Pune prison authorities that it be allowed to interrogate six persons in the jail premises.

"This is essential for logical conclusion of the fake stamp cases" it said.

The ASJ Birbal, after taking the application into the records, reserved the order.

List of accused, to be interrogated by CBI, includes--Sanjay Arora, Gopinath Nair, both lodged in Chandigarh jail while Sachin Kalge and Peter Ruzai are lodged in Banglore jail.

The rest two, lodged in Pune's Yerrawada jail, are Mohammed Yousuf Singoti and Siraj.

The court was hearing a case, in which, CBI had allegedly seized counterfeit stamps worth Rs 219 crores from the several outlets and godowns of M/s City Enterprises, M/s Sharp Enterprises and M/s Royal Services which were owned by Telgi.
