ISLAMABAD: Claiming that India "violated" the ceasefire along the LoC on two separate occasions recently, Pakistan on Monday said it has lodged a protest with New Delhi but received no response.

"We have lodged a protest with India over the violation of ceasefire. It is a matter of concern to us that ceasefire was violated twice in two weeks," Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said.

"The ceasefire was holding very well but in just two weeks there have been two violations by India," she claimed.

She said there was no response from India.

Pakistan army has alleged that firing by Indian troops on August 25 had injured a woman in the Nakhyal sector of Kashmir while she was cutting grass. A similar allegation was lodged earlier but India has denied it.

Rejecting Pakistan's allegations, an Army spokesman had said last week that India has been observing the ceasefire agreement and there has been no firing across the border.
