JAMMU: Acting on a directive of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court, the state government has constituted a three-member Special Investigating Team to probe the Anara Gupta porn-CD case afresh.
The three-member SIT would be headed by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Aziz Khan. Two other members of the team are Deputy Superintendent of Police Ashok Sharma and Inspector Lal Chand, official sources said on Tuesday.
The team has been asked to start its probe immediately. Former Jammu Anara Gupta was arrested along with
seven persons in connection with the porn-CD case in November 2003.
In February, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jammu, Sanjay Dhar had directed the DGP to reopen the case and probe it afresh through an honest and dedicated police officer of the rank of DIG.
