MUMBAI; JM Financial is launching its first corporate private equity fund, JM Financial India Fund. New York-headquartered Old Lane Partners, a private investment firm providing investment management, will be the lead investor or co-sponsor of the fund.
The initial corpus would be $150-175 million.
JM Financial will raise money from domestic investors as well as overseas investors, once it gets the necessary approvals.
The focus of the fund would be on growth companies across sectors such as business process outsourcing, manufacturing, healthcare, media, hospitality, financial services and retail sectors.
