NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court will hear on Monday a petition seeking a change in the itinerary of World Cup cricket, 2007 scheduled to be held in March-April in West Indies.
The petitioner, Agnihotri, a resident of Vidharbha, sought directions to the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to change the itinerary of the World Cup on the grounds that annual school examinations were conducted during these months in India.
Because of the examinations people would not be able to enjoy the matches, the petition said.
He has already made representations to the appropriate fora and finally approached the apex court.
