Kashmir sex racket case: BSF official sent to judicial custody

A court here on Saturday sent BSF Deputy Inspector General K S Padhi, arrested by the CBI in connection with the sex racket, to 14 days' judicial custody while extending the remand of two others.

SRINAGAR:  A court here on Saturday sent BSF Deputy Inspector General K S Padhi, arrested by the CBI in connection with the sex racket, to 14 days' judicial custody while extending the remand of two others.

Chief Judicial Magistrate M Y Akhoon sent Padhi, accused of raping a 15-year-old victim of the racket, to judicial custody for 14 days after the four-day remand taken by CBI for interrogating him expired today. Padhi was sent to the Central Jail here.

The court also extended by 14 days the judicial custody of two other accused in the case, Mehrajuddin and Maqsood.
