‘Zaroo, Kashmiri may be one and same’

The Rahul Mahajan case has given the Mumbai police a lead into the Provogue Lounge case.

They now believe that Sahil Zaroo could be the same as one Sahil Kashmiri, whom they have been searching for. Zaroo has been arrested for supplying drugs to Mahajan and Vivek Moitra. Sahil Kashmiri is a narcotics supplier, with a chief clientele of celebrities. Sources say that Zaroo, who belongs to Jammu and Kashmir, is known as 'Kashmiri' to his friends.

The name Sahil Kashmiri came up during the interrogation of former employees of Provogue Lounge, including manager Vishal Manghnani, who was arrested by the Santa Cruz airport police on July 26 last year.

He was identified as a supplier of narcotics. Investigation into the Provogue case led to the arrest of an African national, believed to be one of Kashmiri's main suppliers. Zaroo also used the African network.Senior inspector D Sidam of the Santa Cruz domestic airport, said, "As all the papers and documents relating to the case are with the courts, it is not possible to make any comment at this time."
