‘Vivek was not like this’

“I am pained. My son was not like what they are portraying,” said Biman Moitra, father of the late Vivek Moitra.

Moitra was reacting to news reports, especially comments from the Mahajan family, which gave a clean chit to Rahul and blamed it all on Vivek.  A resident of Kharghar Kendriya Vihar, Moitra refused to comment further, saying he is in a state of shock over the death of his son. “It’s a conspiracy,” he kept on muttering.

After his arrest by the Delhi police for allegedly consuming heroin, Rahul said in his statement that he was given some “anti-depressant” by Vivek and had no idea that he was consuming drugs.
