Top Jihad militant killed

A top commander for the Palestinian militant group Hamas was killed on Saturday in what witnesses said was an Israeli airstrike against his vehicle, medics said.

GAZA: A top Jihad militant was killed in an apparent Israeli airstrike on Saturday.

Earlier, reports said a top commander for the Palestinian militant group Hamas was killed in what witnesses said was an Israeli airstrike against his vehicle, medics said.

The Israeli army had no immediate comment on the explosion.

Israel and Hamas, which is sworn to destroying the Jewish state, have largely avoided deadly violence against each other since the militant group declared a truce more than a year ago.
