KOCHI: A Sri Lankan airlines flight with 139 passengers onboard made an emergency landing at the international airport at nearby Nedumbassery, airport sources said on Friday.
All the passengers Colombo-Kochi flight were safe after the landing last night, they said.
Inclement weather forced airport authorities to divert the flight to Bangalore when it was preparing to land here at 7.11 pm.
The pilot realised the flight was running out of fuel en route to Bangalore and returned to Kochi after seeking permission for a full emergency landing, they said.
