Woman kidnapped, raped & dumped in Hadapsar, Pune Police book lover

Pune: In a shocking incident, a 32-year-old woman was allegedly sexually exploited, abducted, physically abused, administered poisoned and later dumped near Nucleus Mall by her lover identified as Pandurang Baban Tupe, a resident of Kalepadal in Hadapsar on June 5, 2013 .
Assistant Police Inspector (API ) S B Nale, who is the investigating officer in the case , said that the incidents except rape took place in 2010 while the rape case took place in 2013 when she was found dumped after the rape.
"The victim had a love affair with the suspect which later went sour. He had promised marriage to her and raped her on a number of occasion. The victim had narrated her ordeal that she was kidnapped, raped and later dumped near Nucleus Mall. He had even administered poison in the tea which he served her in 2010. However, she escaped from the situation as the poison did not affect her much," he added.
The victim in her complaint has alleged that the suspect threatened to kill her and forced to sign on some stamp paper much against her wishes. She was kidnapped and whisked away in a four wheeler where Tupe tied her hands and legs and raped her. He later dumped her near Nucleys mall, the complaint stated. According to Ubale, there is also an old case related to physical assault against Tupe registered by the victim in 2010.
