After nabbing Manish Nagori in connection with the murder of a watchman deployed at the University of Pune, the city police are now trying to trace the woman who was with Nagori on the day of murder.
The police suspect that Nagori’s girlfriend was with him when Nagori allegedly shot the watchman Pralhad Laxman Jogdandkar on May 3, 2013 and hence she is involved in the crime.
Nagori, along with three others, were produced before the court of judicial magistrate (first class) KM Pingale on Tuesday.
The police have sought police eight days police remand for Nagori and three others for tracing the woman.
Besides, the police also claimed that the weapon used in the crime is yet to be recovered from Nagori. The motive of the crime is yet to be ascertained.
During investigation, it has been revealed Nagori’s connection in 47 illegal firearms and a team has been deployed in is in Kolhapur, Karad and Hatkangale to investigate the case. Nagori, along with the three others has been remanded in police custody till December 9.
