Pune: As Gudi Padwa ushers in the new year, signifying a new beginning; it is an apt occasion for an annual conference celebrating entrepreneurship - TiECON - hosted by TIE (The Indus Entrepreneurs).
TIE, which is probably the world’s largest network of entrepreneurs is active in the Pune ecosystem, intends to help entrepreneurs start, grow and succeed. Its activities are aimed at mentoring, networking and educating this breed to create virtuous cycle of wealth creation and it reaches out to over 3,000 entrepreneurs in Pune and it conducts 7-8 events each month.
TiECON, powered by dna, promises to be a day filled with inspiration and learning for Pune’s entrepreneur community. Staying with the theme, the iconic speakers will take to the stage to share their journey, thinking and advise. 
The speakers include Rajiv Bajaj – MD of Bajaj Auto and is credited with strategy of repositioning Bajaj from being a maker of cheap scooters, to becoming a marketeer of sporty motorcycles, K. Ganesh – successful serial entrepreneur with four successful green field ventures and exits, Mahesh Murthy – well-known social media expert, entrepreneur and investor who will dwell into the psychology of entrepreneurs and how the journey is an emotional roller-coaster, Devdutt Patnaik – a well-known author, mythologist, speaker who has connected Indian mythology to business besides many other names.
Additionally, there are panels that will discuss different aspects of an entrepreneur’s journey from starting to funding to growth like The Startup Funding panel by Mukund Mohan of Microsoft Ventures, the Growth Panel where Manak Singh of Ascent Foundation will be in conversation with two entrepreneurs in diverse businesses, size and diametrically opposite personalities to cull out their growth mantras, the Puneri Panel where Dr Anand Deshpande of Persistent Systems will showcase our very own Puneri companies on the growth track and discuss the nuances of creating high growth tech companies out of Pune, the Social Impact Ventures Panel where it shows how socially relevant businesses can be sustainable and commercially successful.
