When the sight of a group of road romeos eve-teasing and ‘raping’ a girl made several people cringe, the organisers of ‘Female Rape Victims’, a street play enacted at Kumar Pacific Mall on Shankersheth Road on Sunday, knew that they have achieved what they wanted to.

The play was organised by Information Technology Students Association (ITSA) from Bharati Vidyapeeth’s department of Information Technology to create awareness among the masses on woman safety and empowerment.

Other than the street play, the group of 40 students organised a flash mob at the mall entrance.

“Our objective behind the street play and the flash mob was to bring a affirmative change in society and to change the perspective of men towards women,” said Deepanshi Sharma of ITSA.
