Tata Technologies, a provider of engineering services and manufacturing enterprise IT, has signed a MoU with Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani to design and implement specialised skill development programmes for engineering professionals, students and faculty.

Tata Technologies proposed to support existing BITS industry interface programmes such as Practice School I & II for internships and Industry Immersion for faculty refreshers. On the other hand, BITS would run specialised programmes created with expert industry perspective and inputs from Tata Technologies.

Commenting on this significant development, Gopinath Jayaraj, president, Global Delivery, Tata Technologies said; “Our deep engineering and design, PLM and manufacturing IT domain knowledge combined with BITS Pilani’s renowned professional educational framework and methodology will help us develop industry-aligned programmes that will significantly benefit students and the industry.”

A select group of employees from Tata Technologies will undergo a specially designed Masters Program (MS) in Automotive Engineering from BITS. The employees enrolled in this programme will attend classes online through virtual classrooms without being dislocated from their work environment. The first batch will start in August 2013.
