Now PCMC’s citizens helpline, Sarathi, will be available on your cellphone apps. On the eve of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC)’s 31st anniversary, deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar inaugurated the app for Android, Blackberry and Apple cellphones and e-book for the helpline.

PCMC had developed the application for people to access information about the frequently asked questions (FAQ) regarding civic amenities. Now, the citizens with Android, Blackberry or Apple cellphones users will be able to use this facility on phone.

PCMC launched its helpline on August 15 and it has been receiving overwhelming response from citizens. PCMC sorted out thousands of complaints through the helpline.

The Sarathi e-book, which has information on the 28 civic departments and 489 FAQ’s, have been uploaded on the municipal website and on www.pcmchelpline.in. The administration has prepared an e-book which can be accessed on cellphones. PCMC also is uploading information on other government organisations and facilities provided by the state and Union government on its helpline for citizens.
