Pune: Here's a good news. Soon, the facilities of SARATHI helpline in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) will be available in Marathi language on Blackberry and Windows platform.
A proposal before the standing committee of PCMC has been tabled regarding the development of the cellphone application in Marathi. The cost of the project being Rs 1.90 lakh.
Earlier, on the Foundation Day of PCMC in October last year, deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar had launched the mobile application in English where all the information regarding SARATHI (System of Assisting Residents and Tourists Through Helpline Information) is available.
Now the M/S Tech 9 services has developed the mobile app for PCMC which gives information of SARATHI in Marathi.
One of PMC officials said, "The software has been developed for Windows and Blackberry platform which will give all the information including SARATHI schemes. The cost of developing the software is Rs1,90,800 and the proposal regarding approving the cost of the development has been tabled before the standing committee. It is expected to take decision on the proposal on April 9."
With the help of the app, citizens of PCMC will be getting information about the 28 civic departments of PCMC, helpline numbers and timeframe for each work concerned with the civic body.
