Rotary and Niramya conduct camp for slum girls

A residential summer camp of "friendship and leadership" for slum girls was organised by the Rotary Club of Pune University in association with Niramay. The summer camp was inaugurated by actor Sharvari Jamenis. Also present on the occasion were Deepak Shikarpur, district governor of 3131 Rotary, Ravindra Kulkarni president of Rotary club of Pune University, and SK Jain president of Niramaya among others. Over three hundred girls participated in the camp, which included group discussion, physical exercise, prayer, cultural programme, and story-telling all directed towards increasing confidence, skill and knowledge for their future career.
MIT Pres felicitated Deenanath Mangeshkar foundation, Founder president and managing trustee of MAEER's MIT Vishwanath Karad, was felicitated by Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Smruti Pratisthan for his contribution to the Indian music by building India's largest music academy — "Vishwashanti Sangeet Kala Academy", Rajbaug, Loni-Kalbhor in Pune.
The felicitation programme was arranged by Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Smruti Pratisthan, Mumbai on the 72nd birth anniversary of Deenanath Mangeshkar, on April 24, at Kshanmukhanand Auditorium in Mumbai. On the occasion various personalities from the field of music, art, social, and journalism were also felicitated.
