PFC bounce back to winning ways

Pune: Mike Snoei coached side Pune FC bounced back to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Mohammedan Sporting in an I-League round 21 encounter at the Balewadi sports complex, here on Wednesday.
Striker Thongkhosiem Haokip (43rd minute) gave Pune FC the lead in the first half before winger Gabriel Fernandes (54th) doubled the lead after the breather.
The result completed Pune FC's first double-win over any team in the ongoing season and also ended Pune FC's six match winless run in all competitions since December. At home, this win was a first after four games which includes two losses and as many draws.
With this win, Pune FC are tied with 28 points with Sporting Clube de Goa, while Mohammedan Sporting are lurking in the relegation zone with 13 points ahead of Rangdejied United in the 12th and 13th positions in the points tally.
Mumbai FC hold United
Khalid Jamil's side nicked a goal in second half injury time to split the points on Wednesday, in the I_league at the Kalyani Stadium, Kalyani on Wednesday. United SC and Mumbai FC played out a 1-1 draw on Wednesday in a round 17 I-League match. Eric Brown had put the home side ahead in the 43rd minute which was canceled by a late strike by Nicholas Rodrigues in the 91st minute.
