Students of the mechanical engineering (sandwich) stream from the city colleges are in a limbo as their revaluation results are yet to be declared, whereas the supplementary examination for the same subjects are slated to start from Monday.

The course mechanical engineering (sandwich) is offered at engineering colleges like Maharashtra Institute of Technology and All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society. Students from fifth and seventh semesters had appeared for the examination in May, but some students failed in some subjects and went in for revaluation.

A final year student of mechanical engineering (sandwich) from MIT College said that he had backlogs in the subject TOM and turbo machine and had applied for revaluation. “I am sure I will get through after revaluation, However, whenever I and other students approach the examination department, they say that in most of the cases, the changes do not happen and asked us to prepare for the supplementary examination,” he said.

He said there are 30 students from MIT College from the same stream who are waiting for the results. The result is not out and the examination for the subjects is scheduled to start on Monday.
Despite repeated attempts by dna, UoP controller of examination Sampada Joshi, did not respond to phone calls and text messages.
