Pune: Two people riding on motorcycle attacked a man with a revolver and tried to kill him out of revenge for opposing a love affair. This incident took place on Sunday night at Talwade-Dehugaon road, and police complaint regarding this has been lodged at Dehu Road Police Station.
Victim Sachin Kalokhe (27), a resident of Dehugaon, while traveling in his car along with a friend Ganesh Gaikwad, was attacked by Sainath Mohite, a resident of Talwade. There was one unidentified person present with Mohite, during the attack. Fortunately, the bullet hit the car’s door and no harm was caused to Kalokhe or his friend.
According to the complaint, Mohite had an affair with Kalokhe’s relative, Manjusha Memane, resident of Talwade. Kalokhe was informed about the affair by his cousin brother Hrishikesh Kalokhe. On asking, Manjusha denied to her cousins of any affair with Mohite and informed that he is trying to harass her.
When Mohite got to know about Kalokhe brothers investigating the affair, he started coming to Dehugaon to inquire about both the brothers. On Sunday night, when Kalokhe was returning from a function, Mohite started following his car. He got his motorcycle next to the car near Canbay Chowk, Talwade, and fired a bullet towards Kalokhe’s direction, but as the car moving in speed, the bullet hit the car’s door.
Kalokhe has lodged a complaint against Mohite and his partner and police is searching them. The case is being investigated by PSI Lalasaheb Gawhane of Dehuroad Police Station.
