Man booked for raping woman

The Bibvewadi police have registered a case against Khandu Vishnu Jagtap (28), a resident of Ambedkarnagar in Market Yard, on charges of raping a 28-year-old woman from Bibvewadi on July 13.

The suspect forcibly made her sit in his car, took her to the backyard of Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT)college and threatened that he would release her private photographs in public.

He later forcibly established physically relationship against her wishes and raped her on a number of occasions.

He even stole her gold ornaments and escaped. Even as the police have filed a  case under relevant sections of IPC, no arrest has been made so far.
