Around 15 people created ruckus at a renowned private tuition classes premises on Saturday evening, damaging six motorcycles, a car and a notice board. The private classes teach students appearing for competitive examinations. The Vishrambaug police have arrested one of them and booked six in the case.

The reason behind the dispute is yet to be confirmed as none of the students has come forward and lodged a complaint. The name of the arrested person was not known till late night on Sunday.

The incident took place at Tilak Mahavidyalaya where the tuition was being held on Sunday evening. According to the police, the class usually starts at 4 pm every Sunday. At around 4.15 pm, a group of around 15 people entered the class. Former IAS officer Avinash Dharmadhikari was delivering a lecture in the class. One of the intruders asked about two students in the class, who reportedly had a dispute with his brother in the class a few days ago over some reason.

Dharmadhikari asked them to leave the premises saying the two students they were asking for were not in the present.

“While leaving the premises, they smashed the class’s notice board and window panes. They also smashed windshields of cars and motorcycles parked in the area. A police team from Vishrambagh police station rushed to spot and caught one of them,” sources from Vishrambagh police station told dna.

Speaking to dna, senior police inspector Arjun Sakunde of Vishrambag police station said, “We have arrested one person in the case. We will arrest his associates soon. Cases will be filed against them under relevant sections of IPC, 1860.”
