Dapoli Drowing : 30 hours down, rescue team fails to find 8-year-old Aarpan’s body

Pune: Even after 30 hours, when more than six members of a family were carried away in Dapoli sea, the rescue team could not locate the 8-year-old Aarpan Sharma. The family of 20 were out on a picnic to Anjarlee beach near Dapoli when the incident happened. Till late Sunday evening, bodies of six family members had been recovered.

Pramod Maheshkar, inspector in-charge of Dapoli police station, said, “Its more than 30 hours, we are still struggling to fish out the body of Aarpan. We are trying our best to locate the body of the little boy with the help of local fisherman and swimmers. We have even approached nearby seashores and beach and inform the rescue team to stay in their touch.”
