Case against lawyer Dabhade for casteist comments in Pune

A case under Prevention of Atrocities Act has been filed against advocate Vijay Dabhade in Talegaon Dabhade, after the prime suspect in his daughter Shrusti Dabhade’s suicide case had lodged a complaint against him.

Shrusti, a Std XI student allegedly committed suicide. Police arrested Aakash Salvi and his parents after Dabhade lodged a complaint that they had harassed her.  

Tejas Salvi, brother of Aakash Salvi, also a  prime suspect, lodged a complaint against Dabhade for allegedly making casteist remarks against them. 

Sub divisional police officer (SDPO) Dehu Road, Vinayak Dhakne said, “We received a complaint from Aakash’s brother after which we lodged a complaint against Dabhade. A probe is on.”
