A quick look at the congress manifesto for Pune

Pune: Free of cost bus service, 24X7 water supply, creating international sports stadium, 12 lakes of one TMC capacity and metro network on 100 kms route, CCTV buses for IT industry women professionals and 500 more buses through JNNURM and so on. This is the list of promises included in Congress-NCP alliance manifesto for Pune city.
The manifesto was released by minister Harshawardhan Patil in presence of Vishwajeet Kadam, the party candidate for Pune seat. When asked as to how many promises made during 2009 elections were fulfilled, Patil said, "Its a continuous process and we are working towards fulfilling all the promises." Kadam said that infrastructure and affordable housing were the major issues and he would try to concentrate on these in addition to over all development of the city.

Punekars have newer promises every election and this time Congress-NCP candidate Vishwajeet Kadam has come out with plan to provide 12 lakes of 1TMC capacity each. The manifesto claims that 85 per cent of the seweage is being treated. Promises like, free bus passes and unemployment allowances to all the differently-abled people, are part of this manifesto.
The manifesto promises creation of 100 new small grounds for children and starting world book fair in Pune.
