Can you believe politicians are captivated not only by the electorate but also by the animal kingdom? But it’s true since former BJP National president Nitin Gadkari himself revealed this during his recent interaction with the media in Pune.
While referring to anomalous behavioUr, Gadkari said, “Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s bungalow is just behind my house in Delhi and our senior leader Jaswant Singh’s bungalow is also nearby. There are monkeys in the premises of my bungalow and there are peacocks at prime minister’s and Singhji’s bungalows on large numbers.”
While pointing out that it is not known to him as to how and why this happens, Gadkari revealed, “I don’t know why but monkeys from my bungalow always go to prime minister’s and Sinjhi’s bungalows to do mischief and peacocks from their bungalows come to my house and dance.” When one of the scribes commented, “Animals also have a choice and you could be spying at their bungalows by sending these monkeys,” a smiling Gadkari retaliated in a lighter vein, “Yes, one of the monkeys has done a journalism course.”
