9 year old sodomised by 15 year old in Kondhwa, Pune

Despite the hue-and-cry by social activists against increasing number of child abuse cases, an eight-year-old boy was allegedly sodomised by his 15-year-old acquaintance, who lured him to a lonely place while playing cricket.

The father of the victim said, “My son and the other boy have known each other. On Tuesday, they went to play, when he took my son to some secluded area and sodomised him.”
He said, “When I returned home from work, I noticed red marks on my son’s hands and neck. I asked him repeatedly, but he did not respond. He was looking uncomfortable and becoming pale, so we rushed him to hospital. After examining him, the doctor told us that he had been sodomised. Later, my son revealed the entire episode.” 
“I was shocked and approached the other boy’s home. But instead of listening to us, his family threatened me and my wife,” the father added.
He told dna that he approached Kondhwa police, but they did not entertain him. “The police said that the boy who committed the crime is also a minor, and if they lodged a complaint against the boy, nothing will happen as he is a juvenile.” 
Pandharinath Mandhare inspector in-charge of Kondhwa police station denied the allegation made by the parents. He said, “The victim’s parents had approached us on Tuesday night and we had also detained the boy. But the parents were not registering the complaint. We tried to convince them. If the victim’s parents are ready we will take up the case.”
