SBI customers ALERT! These net banking services will not work on July 10-11 - Details here

We have an important notice for State Bank of India (SBI) customers! A few bank services will be affected on July 10 and July 11 i.e. Saturday and Sunday, respectively. SBI issued a notice about the same on its Twitter handle and asked customers to complete their important transactions immediately. 

What did SBI say?

SBI issued a notice on its Twitter account and said that due to the maintenance activity, many services of the bank will be closed from 10.45 pm on July 10 to 12.15 am on July 11. This includes SBI internet services like YONO, UPI, and YONO Lite services.

In its second tweet, SBI appealed to the customers to keep changing their passwords continuously. According to the bank, changing the password online is like a vaccine against the virus. The bank suggested its customers keep changing their passwords continuously to protect themselves from cyber fraud.

Chinese hackers eye SBI customers!

According to a report in Zee News, cybersecurity researchers have also issued a warning to SBI customers as China is not deterring its antics. Chinese hackers are withdrawing money from the accounts of SBI customers. Chinese-origin hackers with phishing scams are asking bank users to update their KYC using special website links. In return, a gift of Rs 50 lakh is also being offered.

Meanwhile, banks are going on a long break this coming week as well, starting today. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released a long list of holidays for the banks in July 2021. In total, bank employees will be enjoying up to 15 holidays in July in certain regions, including a five-day break starting from Saturday (July 10).
