Two labourers killed in Mulund as part of crane falls on them

According to police, the workers at the site of Tirumal Heights were carrying out labour work and handling a crane there when the part of the machine fell on four workers this evening.

Two labourers were killed after a part of a crane fell on them while working at an under construction building in suburban Mulund, police said.

According to police, the workers at the site of Tirumal Heights were carrying out labour work and handling a crane there when the part of the machine fell on four workers this evening.

All four were rushed to nearby hospital where two of them succumbed to injuries, police said.

Police have inspected the spot and said the construction work was going on under the supervision of Samata Builder.

"We are investigating the matter. If required, we would lodge a case of negligence against the person or persons concerned," an officer said adding further probe was on.
