This Children's Day, treat your kids to a visit to a toy museum or the oldest toy store in the world. Hotels.com, a global hotel booking portal, has come up with a list of toy destinations across the world.

Today, toys range from traditional wooden dolls to high-tech robots and miniature race-cars.  Encompassing the entire spectrum of toy history is the Nehru Children's Museum at Kolkata, which has been listed as one of the many toy destinations by Hotels.com.

“The dolls are exquisite and from all over the world,” says Nilanjana Sen, 24, who visited the museum in her teens.

Does your child tend to get bored and irritable on a flight? Jet Airways is planning to revive its policy of gifting toys to child passengers onboard.  “We would provide goody bags for children which had games, puzzles, paint books to keep them happy and occupied on board. This policy was discontinued sometime back but is currently under review,” said a senior official from Jet Airways.

For those who want to venture out a bit further, there's the oldest toy store, Hamleys in London, House of Barbie in Shanghai and Kiddy Land in Tokyo.
