A 35-year-old biker died after a speeding truck rammed his bike on the Link Road in Borivli (West).

A 35-year-old biker died after a speeding truck rammed his bike on the Link Road in Borivli (West). The police identified the deceased as Ram Parmar, a resident of Bheem Nagar, Gorai.
The incident took place on Monday night around 11.30 pm when Parmar was heading home. He was riding his bike on the Link Road when a speeding Borivli-bound truck coming from Kandivali tried to overtake his bike, ramming into it in the process.
“The impact threw Parmar off his bike. He sustained severe injury to his head,” said Bhagwan Chate, senior police inspector of the Borivali police station. Locals gathered around him and soon rushed him to Bhagwati Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
The truck driver was arrested for rash driving and causing death due to negligence.
