Three of the co-accused in the Yashwant Sonawane case — the two sons and son-in-law of the main accused, Popat Shinde — are in the news again, this time for assault.

In January last year, additional collector Sonawane was burnt alive by the local oil adulteration mafia, and 10 people were arrested.

According to the complaint, Kunal and Vikas Shinde, Deepak Borse and a fourth man barged into the neighbouring residence of a Sagar Sonawane on Friday evening and demanded that the music be started again. In the ensuing argument, the four beat up the residents, including some women.

Vikas Shinde and Borse were arrested, while the other two are absconding.
