Six arrested for attack on Kalyan jailer

With the arrest of six persons the Thane police today claimed to have solved the case of attack on jailer of Kalyan Adharwadhi jail on February 13.
    
Addressing an news conference here, additional commissioner of police (crime) Prashant Burde said those arrested arrived in Kalyan on Feb 13 and kept a vigil at the entrance of the jail.
    
When Naushad Abdul Rahaman Shaikh was on his way for the duty in the early hours they attacked him with lethal weapons seriously wounding him.
    
Burde said the police have arrested Dileep Verma, from Kalyan, Vijay Mahadik, Navnath Gurav, Sagar Hiralal Rajbhar, Vilas Vijay Sawant, and Dileep Verma.
