The Seven Hills Healthcare Private Limited hospital and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) have failed to reach at an amicable settlement over NOC terms for mortgaging the hospital and acquiring loan by the hospital. The two have even failed to settle their dispute over proportion of free medical treatment to the poor.

Mukul Rohatgi, counsel for the hospital management, informed the Bombay high court on Saturday they met the municipal commissioner, but failed to reach a consensus.

A division bench of justice PB Majmudar and justice Mridula Bhatkar had earlier this week suggested the hospital meet the municipal commissioner and try working out a solution.
The court was hearing a petition filed by SHHPL challenging the notices issued by the BMC in February asking them to vacate the nearly seven-acre premises allotted to them to run the multi-speciality hospital in Marol.

The hospital has already availed loan against mortgaging the plot, which belongs to the corporation. However, corporation objected to giving an NOC for changing the bank saying that the corporation plot cannot be mortgaged.

The bench had in November asked the corporation to grant the hospital NOC to create mortgage to raise additional loan. However, the NOC issued by the civic body, according to the hospital, laid additional conditions which were not acceptable to them.
