Senior citizen duped in Pune

Hirabai Dhondiba Kadam,78, was allegedly duped by two unidentified persons on the pretext of polishing gold ornaments valued at Rs1.20 lakh on Tuesday at Ghorpade Peth. 

Two unidentified suspects visited Kadam’s house and told her that they would polish the ornaments. Following which, Kadam gave a silver idol and four gold bangles to the suspects for polishing. Later, the suspects asked her to bring water and kept the ornaments in a bowl. Meanwhile, the suspects managed to steal the ornaments and left the house.
