Midway through his nine-day tour of Gujarat, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray seems to have set his agenda straight.
Thackeray is confident that political change is inevitable in the state.
“When I came here and studied the development model, one thing that struck me is the participation of all the sectors of society in the state’s development. Chief Minister Narendra Modi could not have done this without people’s support and he has got the support because of his work and inclusiveness,” Thackeray said.
When asked what is preventing the people of Maharashtra from bringing the political change that can be seen in Gujarat, Thackeray said: “Such political change is inevitable in Maharashtra. And let me tell you, it is not impossible. The credibility of politicians is lost in our state and people do not know whom to trust,” said Thackeray, without naming anyone.
