On Good Friday, policemen from the Lashkar police station spent 90 minutes of their day at a stress management workshop.

The workshop, a part of the police station’s Study Circle initiative, saw a total of 30 police constables trying to understand how they could equate their professions with a hobby, thereby enjoying their work lives more.

Gateway Personality Development’s personality trainer, Sayyad Saeed Ahmed, who conducted the workshop, urged the policemen to equate their profession with a hobby. Ahmed asked the policemen to set goals and work towards achieving them.

“Goals are very important and unless you set them, your work life will be a vague journey. Most people have negative approaches in their minds. They do not see things positively. This rule applies to policemen as well,” Ahmed said.

He asked the policemen to understand their own abilities in order to achieve their goals.

“At the end of the day, it was very important for every person to do a self analysis,” he said.

Focusing on the long hours spent by policemen at work, Ahmed said, “The police personnel should devote enough time to their families. This will prevent problems in the future.”

Senior police inspector Sushma Chavan told DNA, “We must pay
attention to the ideas expressed by Ahmed. It will definitely help us build our self confidence.”

Head police constable NK Kshirsagar said, “I am so happy to learn something new from this session today. Such activities make us feel positive and should be frequently arranged in future,” Kshirsagar said.
