Pune hospital holds breast cancer awareness rally

The Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital (ABMH), Chinchwad, organised a breast cancer awareness rally in Hinjewadi on Friday, as October is being observed by the world as breast cancer awareness month.

Over 70 staff members from the hospital participated in the rally carrying placards with slogans like “Let’s spread awareness and fight Breast Cancer”.

“Early detection is vital for the cure of breast cancer. If we increase awareness on breast cancer, we can detect it early and thereby ensure that breast cancer never kills,” said Dr Rakesh Neve, oncologist, Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital.

The ABMH has also arranged a special interactive session with Dr Neve at the hospital on October 22 at 11 am, to educate one and all on prevention, self-evaluation and treatment of breast
cancer.
