A Pakistani national and her two sons were today arrested and sent to jail for overstaying in the country, police said.

"Alam Aisa had come to Sheikhpura village in Aurangabad from Pakistan after securing a visa which expired on July 3, 2006. She was supposed to return on that day, but she continued to stay here with her sons," superintendent of Police (Aurangabad) Nishant Tiwari said.

She was served several notices, including the latest on March 30, 2009, to leave the country. "But she did not not obey and stayed in the village with her sons," he said.

The three were then arrested from the village after an FIR was lodged with the Madanpur police station. They were produced before a magistrate, who remanded them in judicial custody.
