The Pakistan Judicial Commission on Friday examined its first witness in the 26/11 case, magistrate RV Sawant Waghule, who had recorded the confessional statement of terrorist Ajmal Kasab.
Special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, who was present during the hearing, said the commission will continue to record evidence on Saturday. “Investigating officer Ramesh Mahale will be examined,” he said.
The eight-member commission had moved an application before chief metropolitan magistrate SS Shinde to cross-examine witnesses . The court rejected the plea, as the two countries have agreed that no cross-examination will be allowed in court.
