One more body found in Thane's Yeoor jungle

After the recovery of the body of a nine-year-old girl from Yeoor jungle in Thane on the weekend, Vartak Nagar police have found another body of a 25-year-old youth from the same area.

Police said that a highly decomposed body was found floating in a pond off a quarry site in the jungle.

The body has been identified as that of one Chandrashekar Thakkar, a resident of Rupadevi Pada of Wagle Estate.

The police, who registered a case of accidental death and sent the body for a post-mortem, have ruled out any foul play in the case.

According to reports, the deceased was of unstable mind, said Vartak Nagar police, which is carrying out further investigations into the case.

On Saturday, the body of the minor girl was found in a decomposed state from Yeoor and police had arrested her neighbour Dashrath Yadav (27) a day later on charges of rape and murder.
