Dissapointed over giving up three out of four Assembly seats from the city to Congress party, NCP activists made an unsuccessful attempt to lock the party office on the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar road.

NCP activists were demanding ticket for its municipal corporator Dinkar Avhad from Nashik East Assembly constituency but the seat was alloted to the Congress, NCP sources said today.

City NCP president Gajanan Shelar and other leaders assured the activists that he will communicate their disapproval to the party president RR Patil.

Meanwhile, Congress office bearers in Nandgaon Assembly constituency in the district also started sending resignations to its state party President for allotting Nandgaon seat to NCP.
 
Maharashtra deputy chief minister Chhagan Bhujbal's son Pankaj is likely to contest elections from Nandgaon seat.
 
Dissatisfaction was also reported in the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) wing over issuing ticket to Rahul Aher, son of former Maharashtra public health minister DS Aher, who is
likely to rejoin in the BJP camp.
 
BJP activists lead by Sridhar Vyavahare, Anil Chandvadkar, Ashutosh Deshpande took rally opposing candidature of Rahul Aher.
