A multifunction complex will be built at the Huzoor Sahib railway station in Nanded with an expenditure of Rs8 crore as part of the railway ministry's plans.
The multifunctional complexes will include hotels, medicine shops, underground parking, book centres, medicine shops alongside the railway station.
The ministry has decided to develop 66 railway stations in the country on these lines at a cost of Rs 526 crore.
Railway sources said here that recently, the Railway Land Development Authority team made a survey at the Nanded railway station and decided to build a multifunctional complex.
As per the plans, the construction of multi function complex will start at 12 railway stations including Udaipur, Mysore, Raipur, Dehradun from February 2010. After this Cuttak, Nanded, Jhansi, Katra and Ujjain railway station will be developed.
