Man arrested for molesting six children at Pune ashram

A 34-year-old man, posing as a religious preacher, was arrested for allegedly molesting six children at his ashram in Moshi near here, police said today.

Lamkhede 'Maharaj', who taught bhajans and the use of musical instruments, had unnatural sex with children aged between 7 and 16 for five months, they said, adding, he was arrested yesterday after one of the victims filed a complaint against him.

The accused was remanded to police custody till tomorrow.
