The chairman of Lavasa Corporation Limited, Ajit Gulabchand, met chief minister Prithviraj Chavan on Friday at the Sahyadri guest house.
Though both sides are tight-lipped about what transpired during the meeting, the industrialist is believed to have apprised the CM about the ongoing township construction at Dasave and the plan to make a fresh application to begin construction at Mugaon.
Construction on 1,500 acres of land at Dasave, part of the first phase of the project, is in full swing and the company is expecting to finish most of it before the monsoon. The environment ministry had given the green light to construction work at Dasave in November last year, but with 30 riders.
