Some of the country’s leading car manufactures and dealers jostled for space at the ongoing Auto Expo organised by DNA.

Brands such as BMW, Renault, Hyundai, Toyota, Tata Motors, Fiat, Honda, Chevrolet, Ford jostled for space in an attempt to provide a hands-on experience to potential buyers.

The event was inaugurated by KU Rao, CEO, DNA. Model Nisha Harale Bedi was seen visiting the auto expo to pick out a compact car to gift herself on her upcoming birthday.

The expo has cars ranging from compacts and sedans to multi-purpose vehicles  (MPVs) and sports utility vehicles (SUVs), targetting the middle class and the premium segments. Unique features with automated functions and navigation systems made technology and innovation the main selling point.

The initial response has left the car brands confident about the ability to convert the enquiries into sales. Jai G Mirchandani, senior sales consultant of Gen Next Motors Limited, representing Renault, stated that he had huge expectations from the Expo.

Customers were seen flocked in to zero in on their choice of cars, taking in the personal attention, attractive pricing and the freedom to explore their dream machine at close quarters. “Auto expos are a boon as it prevents wasting time and energy in inspecting various dealerships spread across distant locations. I can bring my whole family and choose our family car together. We want to celebrate Gudi Padwa on an auspicious note,” said Vipul Raichand, one of the attendees. The Auto Expo at Navi Mumbai will be on till Sunday.
